Designing for the inbox

The most effective email layout often has less in it.

A Campaignly note

These practical ideas are intended as starting points. Your brand, audience and sending infrastructure will shape the final solution.

Prioritize the message

Make the purpose visible in the first screen. Strong headings, generous spacing and a simple CTA are easier to understand than an overloaded composition.

Prepare for narrow screens

Use responsive widths, generous touch targets and safe line lengths. Preview content at multiple sizes before trusting it to a production provider.

Design for access

Write descriptive links, retain contrast and include meaningful text instead of relying entirely on images. Test with assistive technologies and real mail clients.

Template note: Campaignly is an offline frontend demonstration. Integrate lawful consent, unsubscribe handling and a real sending provider before using it to email customers.
